In order to increase the role of young scientists in the formation of scientific policy, after the resumption of the activity of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2003, the Council of Young Scientists was also established at the Institute of History. From 2007 to 2011 It was headed by Marina Vladimirovna Gleb. In 2011–2015 years. the chairman of the Council was Andrei Petrovich Solovyanov. In 2015–2017 years. The Council was headed by Jaroslav Petrovich Bezlepkin. In September 2017 Elena Gennadievna Trubchik was elected chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Svetlana Velent-Scherbach was elected as a deputy chairman and Elena Petrovna Gross as a scientific secretary. In 2017, the Council has 37 young scientists, including 6 candidates of science. Young scientists participate in almost all studies of the Institute of History, organization of conferences, roundtables, summer schools and other events, including youth. Among the latter, mention should be made of the Vth International Summer School of Young Scientists and Historians of CIS Countries (June 14-23, 2010). Active participation in its organization was accepted: M.G. Gilinsky, A.P. Solovyanov, E.A. Krivichina, Y.P. Bezlepkin, A.A. Khristenko, K.D. Goncharenko, E.E. Sokolchik, V.A. Yurgenson, T.S. Budenkova, R.A. Olekhnovich, M.I. Tkacheva, Z.A. Kharitonovich and others.
